Our studio runs 2 sessions each year...our fall/spring session begins in September each fall and runs through May ending up with our annual recital the first weekend of June each year at the fabulous Pikes Peak Center.  Our summer session begins one week after our recital each June and runs for 8 weeks.

Please view the tuition schedule for pricing.

We offer the following classes- please note that students must be the required age by the beginning of the fall or summer session to enroll in a class.

Tiny Tumblers:  30 minute class of tumbling for 3-5 year olds.

Combo 4-5: 1 hour class for 4-5 year olds of tap and ballet, this class is a wonderful introduction to dancing which includes beginning technique as well as fun and games!

Combo 6-8: 1 hour class for 6-8 year olds of tap, jazz, and ballet, this class is a wonderful introduction to dancing which includes beginning technique and promotes creativity.

Combo 4A: 1 hour class for 5-7 year olds who have had previous dance experience and are ready for a more challenging dance experience, yet not old enough to participate in 1-hour classes of tap, jazz, or ballet.  This class includes tap, jazz, ballet, and beginning tumbling.  This class is by teacher invitation only.

Preballet: A 45-minute or 1 hour class for 6-7 year olds including an introduction to ballet for those students who are not yet old enough to enroll in the ballet program which begins at 8 years old.

Ballet levels 1-8: Our ballet program begins at age 8.  Level 8 is beginning ballet for those students who have completed a combo class or who have never danced before.  Classes advance through to level 1 which is pre-professional level.  Levels 1-3 are hour-and-a-half or two-hour classes for extended technique and pointe work.  Our ballet program placement is based on ability, not age, although we do offer adult-only classes at the beginning and intermediate levels.

Tap levels 1-5: Our tap program begins at age 7 and includes classes for 7-11 year olds, 8-12 year olds, and adults.  Level 5 is beginning tap for those who have completed a combo class or who have never tapped before.

Jazz levels 1-5: Our jazz program begins at age 7 and includes classes for 7-11 year olds, 8-12 year olds, and adults.  Level 6 is beginning jazz for those who have completed a combo class or who have never taken jazz before.  Our jazz program also offers lyrical and modern classes for advanced-intermediate and advanced dancers who are placed into a jazz class level 3 or higher.

Acro level 1-5: Our acrobatic/tumbling program begins at age 6.  These classes range from beginning to advanced/extreme.  Tumbling skills from basic forward rolls and cartwheels up to back tucks and arials are taught in this program.  Tumbling is done on mats for the safety of the students and classes do include basic jazz choreography as well.

Hip-Hop levels 3-5: Our hip-hop program begins at age 7 and offers beginning classes for 7-11 year olds, teens, and adults, as well as intermediate classes for 8-12 year olds and teens.  Our hip-hop program is fun and our hip-hop instructors offer a wide variety of styles from today's versatile hip-hop field.

NEW TO TDC- "ONE STEP BEYOND" FUNDRAISING PROGRAM

One Step Beyond... what's it all about?

"One Step Beyond" is a fundraising program designed to help defray the costs of further educational opportunities for the Tanzen and Visions ensemble participants. By further education we mean Master Dance classes and conventions that are "Beyond" the arena of those which we already enjoy at the
competitions and conventions we attend, and the Master classes available in our area.

The goal of the "One Step Beyond" fundraising program is two-fold: First, to provide a monetary springboard for the Tanzen and Visions Dancers to help pay for out-of-state educational and/or erformance opportunities. Secondly, to promote team relationships among the ensemble members by working together for a common goal outside of the actual dance classes.

The money collected by this program will be used ONLY for trips to out-of-state dance clinics, master classes and/or performances. This year we're planning
a summer trip to Los Angles, (we're considering Chicago and New York as future summer destinations), and of course our annual trip to the University of
Arizona's Jazz Dance Showcase in Tucson in the fall. Collected money will NOT be used for Dance Center classes, Master classes, Competition fees, Conventions, Costume fees, or DanceQuest fees.

Participation in One Step Beyond is not mandatory, but only those who participate in the fundraising activites will receive money in return. If a
fundraising event is a group event (such as a car wash, which we will try to plan for this summer) then only the dancers who work will split the amount of
money collected. If the fundraising event is one where each individual goes out and sells something, as in our recent Christmas Greenery sale, then each
dancer receives the amount that she sold. Any sales that are made to people at The Dance Center are equally divided between the dancers who have
participated in that particular sale.

An additional goal of this program is for "One Step Beyond" to become a fun and exciting mainstay that future dancers can take advantage of as they progress to the Junior and Senior levels in dance. In short, we want this program to work so that YOUR dancer will also be able to enjoy these out-of-state opportunities when they are members of Visions or Tanzen. But in order for this program to succeed, we need everyone's support. We need all the ideas and information anyone with fundraising experience can give us. (What sells the best, where can we have sales, what else can we do?) Any support that we receive, whether you buy what we're selling, can give us some of your time, or just have a great idea, will not only contribute to the success of this program for the Junior and Senior dancers now, but will hopefully start a program that will benefit our dancers for years to come.

Fundraising events that take place in house at TDC will be very rare, so keep your eyes and ears open for where we'll be for each event.
